Didn’t manage to get a ticket to Afronation Portugal this year? Well, I have some good news for you, the festival is coming to the home of the infamous azonto. Ghana’s stunning coastline which stretches 560km, with white sandy beaches that hug the Atlantic Ocean and average daily temperatures of 30°C is set to host the 2nd Afronation festival of the year. Two festivals in one year? This is the first time I have ever heard of anything like this. Afronation is really giving everyone a run for their money.

It makes so much sense for the next festival destination to be hosted in Africa after all the festival is a celebration of afrobeats, maybe the 3rd festival will be hosted in Jamaica to celebrate reggae and dancehall in true fashion where it all began.

The lineup hasn’t been announced yet but I hope that we’ll be seeing more African artists since Accra is a lot more accessible, I’m thinking old school afro beats here, the artists that defined my childhood; the kings of afrobeats; the likes of P square, D’banj, 2baba, Iyanya etc. Do you know how much fun a festival with all the 2000 favourites would be, it would honestly be the festival of the year, I would pay an arm and a leg to be there! Whilst we await the lineup we still have time to prepare as the festival isn’t until the 27th of December then ends on the 30th of December just before NYE. We’re ending the year correctly in 2019!

So I am calling all my Africans, join us at what is set to be  Africa’s most talked about festival yet, this is a chance for you guys to join in a celebration of afrobeats, reggae, dancehall, hip – hop and UK rap!
