Angélique Kidjo Wins Grammy For Best World Music Album

Angélique Kidjo won the Best World Music Album for ‘Mother Nature’, at the 64th Grammy Awards.

Benin’s Angélique Kidjo, She won a Grammy Award for Best World Album, for “Mother Nature.” 

The 61-year old singer was nominated alongside Femi Kuti and son, Made, WizKid (all from Nigeria), Ghana’s Rocky Dawuni, and Hawaii’s Daniel Ho.

The Album featured Yemi Alade, Burna Boy, Mr Eazi, Zeynab, Shungudzo, Sampa The Great, Rexxie and Salif Keita

Angelique Kidjo has 5 Grammy Awards. She won the

2008 Grammy for Best Contemporary World Music Album – Djin Djin

2015 Grammy for Best World Music Album – Eve

2016 Best World Music Album – Sings

2020 Best World Music Album – Celia

2022 Best World Music Album – Mother Nature.
