“Africa is NOT a Country”
Africa is considered as the world’s second most populous, which is also the second-largest continent. For those who are not familiar with this amazing continent, you need to know that it is basically made up of 54 countries. Although most people from other continents see Africa as an entity, i.e. a country in most cases, this perception is obviously wrong.
Africa hosts a large diversity of ethnicities, cultures and languages. This continent also varies greatly with regard to environments, economics, historical ties and government systems. The continent of Africa has seen tremendous growth over the past few decades, ranging from the economy, security, Information Technology, agriculture, culture and tourism amongst others.
There are some important things, which make Africa a great continent. Let’s take a closer look at some of these points.
Strength in diversity
Africa is one of the continents that has lots of diversity in terms of its people and culture. Africa’s diversity is what makes the continent great; this basically means that the continent gets its strength from its diverse culture. The images below show some of tribes which make Africa great.

Cultural beauty and tourism
Africa is simply one of the best tourist destinations in the world, due to the fact that there are several site attractions. Movie makers and directors choose Africa in most cases for their movie locations. This is even more so because there are awesome scenes, and this has made the continent the ideal tourist destination for people from all over the world.

When it comes to some of the top reasons why the continent of Africa is great, we cannot ignore the beauty that nature has bestowed on this continent. The animal inhabitants of Africa are amongst the most varied and beautiful in the world. Most of these animals are not found in any part of the world today.
It is worthy of mention that most of us know that Africa is home to the magnificent giraffe and the impressive cheetah. However, there is also a wider range of animals that live in Africa, and when it comes to other magnificent animals, we do realize that these include gazelles, crocodiles, and the mighty hippopotamus. Tourists from all over the world always want to visit Africa for this amazing site seeing. In some desert parts of Africa, there are camels that roam freely. The image of these animals is a common feature in African and Western movies.
It is also worthy of mention that the southern part of Africa, has a lot to offer, with countries such as Zambia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Malawi, Madagascar etc. The region is distinct from the rest of Africa, with some of its main exports including platinum, diamonds, gold, and uranium, which keeps attracting investors and business.
