Hillzy was and has always been dubbed to be a ticking time bomb in the Zimbabwean/African Music fraternity causing major waves using the internet to capture fans with a strategy that started off with covers, to him shaking heads with his own hit songs. Now after scooping some rewards at the Changamire and AFRIMA awards he is on his way to do it BIG TIME in the States.

Hillary Chipunza AKA Hillzy is a Zimbabwean born R&B/ trap-soul artist and producer who has been based in Capetown South Africa but that has recently changed. After a consistent record of internet breaking covers of , Lil Uzi vert’s “XO Tour Lif3” and Drake’s “Hotline Bling” to mention a few ( there are more ) and his own hit songs such as Muroora, TV Room… to mention a few. After catching Nigerian star Mr Eazi’s ear through his amPawa initiative, Hillzy has done it again and is on his way to LA to work with Dakari (Gwatirai), Zimbabwe stand up.

This big move will see Hillzy working with Dakari who is G-eazy’s producer (yes G-eazy) signing a new music deal under Cider Records. After announcing his big news Hillzy then went on to give us a taste of whats to come by dropping a new Single with some crispy clean visuals called ‘Destination’.

The New tune which has all the ingredients to be a hit was produced by himself and Dakari. Destination talks about two close friends separated at a young age for the first time after spending every woke hour together… a first young heartbreak story turned into a catchy song, Hillzy referring to the girl as his ‘Destination’ …..(true story?).

It dropped with a clean, simple but explosive video directed by Motion Billy which visualises Hillzy in his thoughts writing a note to his long lost friend turned lover. At the end the girl pulls up with a huge teddy in the cutest scenario as Hillzy was about to leave. Hillzy hints an EP release and a date which you can check out for yourself in the video below.

The Sky is definitely the limit for Hillzy from here on while he keeps representing Nyazura, Zimbabwe, Capetown and Africa.
